Thierry Brumter

Thierry Brumter has over 30 years of trading, strategy, finance and senior management experience in multinational operations.
He now provides financial & management consulting services to a wide range of companies. Since 2009, Thierry has been working with organisations and companies, helping them identify what they need, achieve the agreed goals and find ways to reach their potentials. Thierry’s experience covers business start-up, project management, strategic planning, fund raising, financial risk analysis, financial policy and management, international trade.
Thierry’s skills and competences are applicable to a large spectrum of challenges and opportunities that have been applied both in Europe and internationally.
Previous experience
Prior to becoming a consultant, Thierry spent 22 years of his professional career at the biggest private US multinational group Cargill Incorporated in Paris, Geneva and London.
His initial responsibilities were commercial as grains trader then currency trader. Promoted Treasurer France then Treasurer Western Europe, Thierry took part in the development and later the management of a centre of excellence dealing with the cash management activities in Europe, and with the short-term funding and foreign exchange activities for the group worldwide. Besides his corporate responsibilities as Director of Cargill Global Funding Plc, Thierry’s functional responsibilities extended to the financial aspects of the mergers & acquisitions of the group in the EU and to trade finance with the Middle East and Africa.

Over the last 10 years, Thierry’s clients span many industries and sectors, mainly in agriculture, food but also in bio-technologies, pharmacy, packaging and consumer goods, e-commerce and sustainable development.
Degrees and qualifications
Thierry holds a Masters in Engineer from AgroParisTech, a leading Grande École in France and is a former student of the Paris Political Studies Institute (IEP Sciences-Po Paris) in Economics & Finance. Thierry held a teaching position as Lecturer at the SKEMA business school and ISCOM in Paris and participated to many conferences as guest speaker or training facilitator.
